No matter which you choose, you’ll get all the coverage of Original Medicare, plus extra health and wellness benefits, and prescription drug coverage.

Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO) ^SM Plans – our most affordable option

• Usually have low or $0 monthly premiums
• Your care is handled by one primary care provider (PCP) that you select
• Offer extra health and wellness benefits such as vision, dental, hearing, fitness and more
• May be required to get a referral from your primary care physician prior to visiting a specialist
• Include drug coverage
• May offer a preloaded flexible spending card to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses for covered dental, vision, and hearing services. It's the easy way to pay for healthcare expenses without having to pay cash up-front.

Blue Cross Medicare Advantage Dual Care Plus (HMO SNP) ^SM - Special Needs Plans for those Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid

Here are some important things to consider before choosing Blue Cross Medicare Advantage Dual Care Plus (HMO SNP)

• Be sure you are eligible for Medicaid benefits with the Oklahoma Human Services Department
• Depending on your level of Medicaid eligibility, you may not have any cost-sharing responsibility
• Offer extra health and wellness benefits such as vision, dental, hearing, fitness, and more
• May offer a preloaded flexible spending card to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses for covered dental, vision, and hearing services. It's the easy way to pay for healthcare expenses without having to pay cash up-front.

Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO) ^SM Plans – plan options that offer more flexibility

• May have higher monthly premiums than our HMO options
• Keep your costs lower when you use in-network providers
• Provide the freedom to see doctors, hospitals and providers outside of the plan's network, no referrals needed, but you may pay higher copays and coinsurance
• Offer extra health and wellness benefits such as vision, dental, hearing, fitness and more
• Options include an open-access plan allowing the flexibility to see doctors, hospitals, and providers inside or outside of the plan's network with no copays or coinsurance for medical services
• Choose from options that may or may not include drug coverage
• Medicare Advantage plans may offer a preloaded flexible spending card to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses for covered dental, vision, and hearing services. It's the easy way to pay for healthcare without having to pay cash up-front.
• Plans may include a Part B Premium Reduction benefit. This benefit reduces the Medicare Part B premium that you pay the Social Security Administration either monthly or quarterly, depending on how you pay your Part B premium.

Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans help offer protection from the out-of-pockets costs not covered by Original Medicare.

Our Medicare Supplement Insurance plans can help fill the gaps that Original Medicare does not cover, while giving you the freedom to see any doctor and use any hospital that accepts Medicare, nationwide.

Explore our Premium Discounts

A BCBSOK Medicare Supplement premium discount may be available. Eligibility criteria are described below. If you are eligible for a discount, the discount will be applied to your next bill and remain in effect as long as you are enrolled in your BCBSOK Medicare Supplement plan. Discounts cannot be combined; only one type of discount per member is permitted.

Household Discount

You may be eligible for a discount if you reside with a spouse or civil union/domestic partner or have resided with as many as three adults age 60 or older for the last 12 months. Applies to BCBSOK Medicare Supplement policies issued with an effective date on or after May 1, 2019.

Continue With Blue^SM Discount

You may be eligible for a discount if you enrolled in a BCBSOK Medicare Supplement policy issued with an effective date on or after January 1, 2022 and you were enrolled in a Blue Cross and Blue Shield commercial group or individual health insurance coverage plan and that coverage was within one year of your BCBSOK Medicare Supplement policy becoming effective.

Blue Family Discount^SM

You may be eligible for a discount if you enrolled in a BCBSOK Medicare Supplement policy issued with an effective date on or after January 1, 2024 and you meet the criteria for both the Household Discount AND the Continue with Blue Discount.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Original Medicare and Medicare Supplement plans do not include prescription drug coverage. For this important coverage, Medicare works with insurance carriers to offer Part D, which is a standalone prescription drug plan.

Whether you have many prescriptions or just a few, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma offers Part D prescription drug plans that work for your budget. We have a variety of plans to fit different prescription drug needs, all with large nationwide pharmacy networks.
